Dr. Rachel Bentley, Chiropractor, BA,BSc, DC, CAC

 My Chiropractic Journey

From a young age, I experienced significant bone and joint pain caused by a rare metabolic bone disease and required numerous surgeries throughout my adolescence. I was amazed by how quickly I was able to recover from these procedures once I began to receive chiropractic adjustments. I also found that I had more energy and no longer suffered from the chronic migraines that had affected me for most of my life.

As a chiropractor, I love that I am now able to help others find similar relief through regular chiropractic care.

Born and raised in Peterborough, I pursued my post-secondary education at Trent University, earning Honours degrees in Biology and Ancient History. Then in Toronto, graduating with Clinic Honours from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College.

I have been an animal lover and avid horse owner/rider my entire life. In addition to my human patients, I equally enjoy treating their four-legged friends. I am a certified animal chiropractor having successfully completed the Canadian Animal Certification Program with the College of Animal Chiropractors (COAC).

I love swimming, yoga, curling up with a good book, and enjoying the outdoors with my own animals (who also receive regular chiropractic adjustments!).

I am so excited to be back in the Kawarthas (the “Land of Shining Waters”) to provide chiropractic care to my community. In an effort to meet the unique needs of every patient, I have completed additional training and certifications in Activator Method®, Webster, and Thompson Technique. I encourage my patients of all ages to be active participants in their own health and look forward to helping you achieve your optimal health and wellness goals.

Shannon Eastabrook, RMT.

Shannon has been a massage therapist for 16 years, and practicing in her hometown of Peterborough for 14. She graduated with honours from the three year massage program at Fleming College.

She truly loves her job and seeing how massage can have a positive impact in people lives. Over the years, it has become evident that massage needs to be incorporated into people’s health regimen just as much as exercise and other forms of self-care.

Through the years, she has continually taken education courses to keep adding to her massage regime. As well as interacting with other health professionals to ensure clients get the top care that they need.

She has treated many sports related injuries, pregnancy issues, stress and anxiety related issues, chronic headache/migraines and general sprains and strains. Through massage, she has seen the difference she can make in people's lives

Shannon provides her clients with a home exercise regime, so they can maintain their progress in between treatments.

She has worked with clients of all ages, from toddlers to 98 year olds!

When she’s not working, you can usually find her playing with her two dogs, Finny and Kasey or gardening and spending time with her family during the summer.

With her love of dogs, Shannon is expanding her skill-set to incorporate canine massage into her practice in the future!

Shannon looks forward to meeting and connecting with you!

Myra has been a Registered Massage Therapist for 3 years and is in good standing with the CMTO.  She is also a Certified Yoga Instructor. As a confident and caring professional, she listens closely to her client’s needs and uses that information to develop a progressive treatment plan that will reduce pain and improve body movement as quickly as possible.  She incorporates pain theory in her treatment and believes educating clients is an important step in the healing process.

She often teaches particular yoga poses geared to each client so they can continue the path to wellness at home.  Yoga can improve strength and flexibility as well as reduce the amount and frequency of pain experienced. Her ultimate goal is to empower her clients to regain quality of life through knowledge and action that can be easily incorporated into their lifestyle.
